‘Kacha Badam’ Fame Anjali Arora Served ₹1.2 Crore Legal Notice Over Kanpur Event

Indian social media personality Anjali Arora, who rose to fame through viral videos featuring the hit song Kacha Badam, has landed in a legal dispute following an incident at a Dandiya event in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. Organisers have reportedly sent her a legal notice demanding ₹1.2 crore in compensation and a public apology over allegations that she left the event before the scheduled time and made objectionable remarks about local residents.

The notice has also reportedly been sent to her manager, Preeti Dubey. The dispute centres on a cultural event where the organisers and the performer have presented differing accounts of what happened.
Dispute Erupts Over Dandiya Night
The controversy reportedly began on October 15 at an event titled Nagada Night, held at Lajpat Bhawan Lawn in Kanpur.
According to the organisers, Anjali left the venue earlier than agreed, disappointing attendees and invited guests and causing financial losses. They claim she was contractually expected to remain on stage for approximately 45 minutes and present mementoes to sponsors and distinguished guests.
Anjali, however, has reportedly offered a different explanation, citing alleged shortcomings in event management and security, as well as inappropriate treatment that left her uncomfortable.
The conflicting accounts have escalated into a legal dispute, with both sides maintaining their respective positions.

Organisers Demand ₹1.2 Crore
According to reports, lawyer Karim Ahmed Siddiqui, representing the event organisers, issued the legal notice to Anjali and her manager.
The compensation demand reportedly comprises ₹1 crore over alleged defamation and ₹20 lakh for financial losses linked to the event. The organisers also claim that Anjali was paid ₹3 lakh for her appearance and that additional travel expenses exceeding ₹1 lakh were incurred.

The notice reportedly seeks both financial compensation and a public apology. The allegations and compensation demand, however, do not by themselves establish legal liability.
The dispute remains centred on the circumstances of Anjali’s early departure, the organisers’ allegations and her reported concerns about event arrangements.
